Studybreaks Magazine

Established in 2015, Studybreaks is a print and digital platform designed, written and managed entirely by creative undergraduate students from across the country. Studybreaks covers trending media, emerging artists and millennial culture while offering writers the opportunity to share their work and speak to millions of readers.

 

As a weekly contributor, I wrote features about everything from Netflix Originals and stand up comedy to relationships and (what I deem as decent) advice on how to handle adulthood. I published 1-2 features weekly and workshopped pitches and articles with other writers from around the country and the Editor-in-chief. I enjoyed writing about entertainment topics likes movies and albums, but what made writing for Study Breaks so fulfilling was the opportunity to write about tough subjects like sexual consent, mental health and abuse. There’s no role I’ve learned or grow more from as a writer than my time as a contributor at Study Breaks.
